Deptford Mall
The Deptford Mall is a major shopping mall in Gloucester County Southern NJ, the 7th largest of malls in New Jersey. You will find more than 150 specialty stores on an area of 1,042,000 square feet, two levels of indoor shopping. The mall is anchored by Boscov’s, JCPenney, Macy’s and Sears from 4 sides of the mall. You can find a nice food court at the 2nd floor, right next to JCPenney. It goes along with a children’s play zone (in front of Jalapeño’s).
The mall was completely renovated in 2012 and has recently been trying to compete with the more upscale Cherry Hill Mall, which has led to some complains from regular customers who prefer a more middle class directory of stores. Recently some higher end stores have joined the mall, like White House Black Market, Coach, and Sephora, so you can now enjoy some designer clothing and shoes.
The mall is conveniently located off of Route 42 and Route 55 at County Route 544. The mall is completely surrounded with lit parking lots, offering five parking area’s. Deptford is just 7 miles from the Gloucester Outlets in Blackwood, but offering a different shopping experience from the outdoor outlet stores in Gloucester.

AMC Deptford 8
Next to the mall, on the other side of Clements Bridge Road the AMC Deptford 8 is located, the only Deptford movie theater in the area. This theater is relatively small, with 8 screens, but that also makes it a cozy one. It offers incredible comfortable leather recliners with a hideaway arm rest and movies offered in Real 3D. You can reserve your tickets upfront and then get a seat assigned to you. In the lobby is a self service snack bar, to grab some popcorn, snacks and a drink.
The AMC Deptford movie times are daily from 10:30 A.M. till 11:00 P.M, when the last movies starts playing. The Deptford AMC 8 has its own entrance, so the opening hours are not bound to regular store hours.
