The Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ completed a major renovation in early 2016, giving this Simon-owned mall a completely refreshed look and feel. Here’s what changed and which stores joined the lineup around the renovation.
What the Renovation Included
Simon Property Group invested significantly in modernizing the Menlo Park Mall. The renovation delivered a brand new dining pavilion, renovated entrances, updated interior and exterior finishes, modernized lighting throughout, and LED lighting at the parking garage. New soft seating areas with device charging stations were added throughout — a welcome touch for shoppers who spend a full day at the mall.
The renovated mall was officially celebrated in March 2016, and the result was a noticeably brighter, more welcoming shopping environment overall.
New Stores Around the Renovation
The renovation coincided with several new store openings at Menlo Park:
- e.l.f. Studio — cosmetics and beauty products
- Safa Jewelers — necklaces, earrings, bracelets, diamonds and more
- Yogibo — lounge bags and flexible furniture, popular across NJ malls
- The Hummus Grill — falafel sandwiches, hummus bowls, and Middle Eastern fare
- Kneipp — German bath and body care brand, focused on natural wellness
- J.Jill — women’s clothing, accessories, and footwear
