Last Monday Philadelphia officials announced that the second largest outlet in the US opened its doors to the public, the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It has over 3 million square feet of shopping space and more entertainment than you can think of. How about a ski-slope, roller-coaster, waterpark and over 450 retail, food and specialty stores? The American Dream Mall is aiming to receive 45 million to 50 million visitors in its first year after opening its large number of stores.

Luxury NJ Mall

The American Dream Mall NJ will not only be one of the biggest, it will also provide many luxury services to it customers. Think about a doggy day care and a luxury wing inside the mall, where customers can drink champagne with caviar, while their designer clothes are being wrapped.

Last Friday was the official opening and a limited number of visitors could experience what this new dream mall is like. Only two of the big entertainment attractions were open: the ice-skating rink and the Nickelodeon Theme Park. Although the mall is still a work in progress, the reactions where already positive. Like Olivia of Nutley, New Jersey telling us: “I do a lot of online shopping. I don’t go to the mall so much,” she said. “I think this might drive me back.”

It won’t be until next Spring the Mall is fully operational. Then also the ski slope, waterpark and all the shops and restaurants will open their doors and visitors can fully experience the American Dream Mall. Meanwhile you can already enjoy the new Nickelodeon Universe MOA, the largest indoor theme park in North America is now open in New Jersey.
