The Promenade at Sagemore is South Jersey’s premier open-air lifestyle center — 225,000 square feet across five buildings in Marlton, Burlington County, with a curated mix of upscale fashion, home, beauty, and dining brands you won’t find at most NJ malls. Anchored by L.L.Bean, the Promenade also has an Apple Store, Anthropologie, Arhaus, lululemon, Athleta, Coach, and Sur La Table — alongside a dining strip that includes BRIO Tuscan Grille, P.F. Chang’s, and Redstone American Grill. It’s not trying to be a mega-mall; it’s trying to be a genuinely pleasant place to spend a few hours, and it succeeds.

What Makes The Promenade Different
Most South Jersey shopping means Cherry Hill Mall or a strip of big-box stores on Route 38. The Promenade at Sagemore is something different. Opened in 2001 as one of the first lifestyle centers in the region, it’s designed as a walkable outdoor village rather than an enclosed mall — five interconnected buildings, landscaped walkways, and a tenant mix weighted toward specialty and premium brands rather than the usual chain-heavy lineup.
The result is a shopping center that genuinely feels curated. You get Arhaus furniture and Sur La Table alongside lululemon and Athleta, with BRIO and Redstone for dinner when you’re done. It draws a different crowd than Cherry Hill — shoppers who know exactly what they’re coming for rather than browsing a 130-store mall. That focus makes for a faster, more enjoyable visit.
Stores at The Promenade at Sagemore
With around 47 stores spread across five buildings, the Promenade covers the essentials in depth rather than breadth. Here’s what you’ll find by category:
- Anchor: L.L.Bean — the full flagship experience with outdoor apparel, footwear, camping gear, and home goods. One of the best L.L.Bean locations in the region.
- Fashion & Apparel: Anthropologie, J.Crew, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, J.Jill, Vera Bradley, Francesca’s. A strongly women’s-focused mix with a few solid unisex options.
- Athletic & Activewear: lululemon and Athleta — both on-site, which is relatively unusual. Solid for anyone serious about activewear shopping.
- Shoes & Accessories: Coach, Johnston & Murphy, Sole Provisions (independent running and lifestyle footwear — a local favorite), Pandora.
- Home & Lifestyle: Arhaus (high-quality furniture and home décor — a destination store for Burlington County), Sur La Table (cookware, kitchen tools, and cooking classes).
- Beauty: Bluemercury — the luxury skincare and spa boutique. One of only a handful of NJ locations.
- Tech: Apple Store (see below), AT&T.
- Jewelry: Bernie Robbins Jewelers — an established South Jersey fine jewelry retailer with a full engagement ring and designer collection.

Apple Store Marlton (The Promenade at Sagemore)
The Apple Store at The Promenade is one of 12 Apple Store locations in New Jersey — and one of the more relaxed ones. The smaller format means shorter Genius Bar wait times than the Freehold or Cherry Hill locations, and the outdoor lifestyle center setting makes the whole visit feel less rushed. Reach them at (856) 355-4940 or via apple.com/retail/sagemore. As always, book a Genius Bar appointment in advance via the Apple Store app.
Restaurants & Dining at The Promenade
The Promenade’s dining lineup is one of its strongest suits — several sit-down restaurants make it genuinely viable as a dinner destination, not just a quick-lunch-between-stores stop.
- BRIO Tuscan Grille — Upscale Italian with a full bar and strong pasta, seafood, and steak menu. A reliably good dinner option; reservations recommended on weekend evenings.
- P.F. Chang’s — Full-service Asian-inspired dining. The Marlton location consistently gets strong reviews for service and quality.
- Redstone American Grill — The Promenade’s most upscale dining option. Contemporary American cuisine, excellent cocktails, and a warm, lively atmosphere. One of the best restaurants in Burlington County.
- LaScala’s Fire — Wood-fired pizza and Italian specialties. A newer addition to the Promenade and already popular with locals.
- Chipotle — For a quick, reliable lunch between stores.
- Panera Bread — Good for a fast breakfast or casual lunch. Consistent quality and solid for groups with mixed preferences.
- Cold Stone Creamery — For dessert after dinner at BRIO or Redstone.
No Sales Tax on Clothing in NJ
New Jersey charges zero sales tax on clothing and footwear — which applies to every purchase at The Promenade. That means lululemon leggings, a J.Crew jacket, or L.L.Bean boots are all at the listed price with no tax added. At the Promenade’s price points, the saving is meaningful. See our NJ tax-free shopping guide for more details on what’s exempt.
Our Take on The Promenade at Sagemore
(5/5) — The Promenade is one of our favorite shopping destinations in South Jersey — and genuinely underrated. It doesn’t have the sheer number of stores that Cherry Hill has, but it has something most large malls don’t: a clear identity. Every tenant feels intentional. Arhaus and Sur La Table for the home, lululemon and Athleta for fitness, Anthropologie for fashion, Redstone and BRIO for dinner — it all fits together in a way that makes the visit feel coherent rather than overwhelming. The outdoor setting is genuinely pleasant on good weather days, and the Tesla chargers are a nice touch. If you’re in Burlington or Camden County and want a more curated, relaxed shopping experience than a traditional mall, the Promenade is the answer.
