Livingston Mall (Temporarily Closed) | Livingston, NJ

Livingston Mall in Livingston, NJ is currently temporarily closed. The popular Simon-owned super-regional mall off the Eisenhower Parkway has served Essex County shoppers since 1972 — but as of early 2025, the mall is not open to the public. For the most up-to-date information on reopening, check the official Livingston Mall website or follow the Livingston Mall Facebook page.

⚠️ Temporarily Closed

Livingston Mall temporarily closed on February 10, 2026 due to a burst pipe. As of early 2026, the mall is not open for shopping — though Macy’s and Barnes & Noble have continued to operate with their own entrances during the maintenance period. However, Macy’s is also set to close its Livingston location permanently by April 30, 2026, as part of the chain’s nationwide “Bold New Chapter” store reduction plan. Longer term, Livingston Township has approved plans to redevelop the site into an open-air mixed-use concept with housing. We’ll update this page as the situation develops. In the meantime, here are some great nearby alternatives.

You can still shop at Macy’s and Barnes & Noble; both are OPEN with regular hours.
